Marine Basic First Aid & CPR

Includes the latest First Aid and CPR Guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Meets Transport Canada Training Program Standards in Marine First Aid (TP 13008E)

This course provides an overview of First Aid and CPR techniques with scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry. The course covers the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for all age groups; CPR Level C; and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies, as well as prevention of disease transmission.

	14-16 hour course with flexible scheduling options
	3-year certification in Marine Basic First Aid & CPR Level C
	Includes AED (Automated External Defibrillation) certification (where local legislation permits)
	Conducted by a certified Red Cross First Aid Instructor

	Other topics including improvised bandages, rescue in enclosed spaces, infectious diseases and personal health and hygiene
