If you do not have your own equipment, Silvercore provides rental packages. Firearms are subject to availability so contact us early. ShotgunThe student is responsible for bringing their own shotgun. The student is required to bring a minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition for this training course. Ammunition can be purchased through Silvercore if advanced notice is given. Personal safety equipmentYou will need a supporting shoe with good traction, a billed hat (baseball hat), quality wraparound eye protection, and hearing protection. Eye and hearing protection are mandatory for everyone on the range. Shirt should be form fitting at torso and cuffs as to not snag the equipment. No loose collars as stray brass can get stuck down your shirt. Pants should allow ample movement. Safety Equipment can be arranged through Silvercore with advanced notice

What you will receive Safety is paramount, all of our instruction is done by federally certified firearms instructors and our instructor to student ratio exceeds the government standard. All firearms, ammunition, and safety gear can be made available if requested ahead of time. We offer this as a 1 day Basic Bear Defence which is geared towards the average outdoorsman/woman and a 2 day Advanced Bear Defence geared towards the professional working in bear country. The 2 day course goes into greater detail on the subjects above and is geared towards demonstrating complete due diligence from a business standpoint and includes certification. |
