CORE Challenge - PAL Holders
- Course Challenge - Students must be present a valid CFSC course report
Silvercore now offers CORE exam challenges after every CORE Hunter Education course. In order to challenge the CORE exam in this manner, you must be able to present proof of successful completion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) at the time of examination.
Challenge Exams are scheduled to begin at 12:30pm on Day 2 of the course. Please allow for delays in course timings that may result in a later examination time.
If you have you have passed the Silvercore Canadian Firearms Safety Course, call into the office to book your CORE Challenge on any regularly scheduled Silvercore CORE Hunter Education Course
None for CORE challenges, but, to be successful, completion of the Silvercore Online CORE Course is highly recommended
To enroll for a challenge in this section, you must present a valid CFSC Course Report Form or be a former Silvercore CFSC student. You must be able to provide proof indicating that you have passed the CFSC/CRFSC. Failure to present a successful CFSC Course Report Form will make you ineligible to challenge the exam and no refund shall be given.
- A valid PAL, or proof of completion of the CFSC/CRFSC through Silvercore
Valid Government Issued Photo ID
A copy of your successful CFSC Course Report Form
For those with a history of safe and responsible firearms handling skills, combined with the knowledge of all course material, the option to challenge the course is available.
In order to challenge the CORE exam, you must have passed the Silvercore Canadian Firearms Course or be able to present a valid CFSC Course Report Form.
CORE Hunter Education Course Challenge $40 / required test (written / practical)
CORE Hunter Education Course re-test $30 total for both written / practical. To book a CORE retest, please call Silvercore
No instruction or refreshers will be given prior to challenging the course
No coaching will be given during the testing
Challenges are made by appointment only
Minimum government standards must be achieved to be successful, full stop.
It is the students responsibility to be fully versed in the material and testing standards prior to attending a challenge.
Remember, if you are unsure if you are prepared enough to challenge, you very likely aren't.
