Silvercore's .22 Rimfire Carbine Fundamentals (RC1) course is a one-day range class covering the fundamentals of carbine marksmanship and manipulations. The .22 rimfire platform is the ideal way to build carbine skills: low recoil and low ammunition cost mean more rounds downrange and more repetitions of correct technique, with skills that transfer directly to larger platforms. All course material is taught in a no-nonsense manner, taking students from dry-fire fundamentals through progressively challenging live fire exercises and fun competitions throughout the day.

Required Equipment
Carbine System
- Semi-automatic .22 LR carbine with sling - students must provide their own firearms
- 3 magazines
- A means of carrying spare magazines on the body (e.g., belt with mag pouches)
Ammunition
- 500 rounds of .22 LR ammunition
Gear
- Waterproof paper and pencil for taking notes
- Weather-appropriate clothing (dress for the weather on an outdoor range)
- Wraparound shooting glasses, ball cap and hearing protection
- Clothing: Shirt should be form fitting at torso and cuffs as to not snag the equipment
- No loose collars as stray brass can get stuck down your shirt
- Long pants, allowing easy movement
- Closed toe shoes that allow rapid moving and turning
- Shooting mat, old blanket or sleeping bag for prone shooting
- Food, snack and drinks - lunch is not provided
Prerequisites
- A valid Non Restricted PAL # must be provided when registering (Exceptions may be made for active Law Enforcement Officers, please contact our office for details)
- Please note that firearm rentals and ammunition are not provided by Silvercore for this live fire course
