PAL Course Near Vancouver
Take Your CFSC and CRFSC Near Vancouver in Delta, New Westminster, or LangleySilvercore does not have a consistent training venue in Vancouver proper. The three closest Silvercore locations are in Delta, New Westminster, and Langley. All three are inside Metro Vancouver, all three teach the same RCMP-approved combined CFSC and CRFSC, and all three are reachable from downtown Vancouver in under an hour. Silvercore has been teaching firearms safety in BC since 1994.
Where Vancouver-area students train
Most Vancouver-area students choose between three Silvercore locations based on commute time.
Delta is the Silvercore home facility, located at #115 - 7198 Vantage Way. Drive time from downtown Vancouver is roughly 25 to 35 minutes via the Massey Tunnel or Alex Fraser Bridge. Delta offers the most schedule options because it's the home facility.
New Westminster is the closest option by SkyTrain. New Westminster Station is on the Expo Line and reachable from anywhere on the network. Travel time from downtown is roughly 25 to 30 minutes by train or by car.
Langley is at The Range Langley, 9938 201 St #2 in Walnut Grove, roughly 45 to 60 minutes from downtown Vancouver by car. Most Langley students drive. Good option if you're south of the Fraser or in the eastern Fraser Valley.
What to expect
The classroom is set up for hands-on instruction. We bring real, deactivated firearms representing each action type you will be tested on, and you handle every one. You work through the curriculum with an instructor, write the written test, and complete the practical test at the end of the course.
CFSC and CRFSC are non-firing courses. There is no live range component, and there is no challenge or test-out option for either course. The test-out pathway was removed years ago. Everyone takes the full in-person course, residents and non-residents alike.
How to book
Course dates and registration are on the Canadian Firearms Safety Course page for the combined CFSC and CRFSC, the CRFSC-only page if you already have your non-restricted, and the CORE Hunter Education page for hunter education.
